Festival Parking

We have a parking plan this year that includes on-site as well as off-site parking.

Parking is FREE to everyone; however, because Marina parking is extremely limited extra off-site locations have been reserved for Team Overflow Parking.  Teams boarding at either location will be shuttled to Marina Team Drop Off area via buses that run continuously for your convenience. 

It is highly advised that teams go straight to the off-site parking facilities listed on the map, as the on-site parking is limited and is not expected to be available after 7am.

There are, drop-off facilities on-site, where teams may drop off equipment, tents and chairs etc, but the off-site parking is close enough to walk from, and we will also provide shuttle buses along the route.

There will be Parking Attendants at the Marina main entrance to greet and help direct everyone to designated offsite parking/shuttle locations.  Shuttles will run continuously from parking locations on both event days.

We sincerely apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause; but again, the North Beach Marina can only accommodate a limited number of parking spaces.

Driving Directions to Festival Event

Directions to Tempe Town Lake Marina:

North on Scottsdale Road from Route 202.  Turn left (West) at the first opportunity onto East Gilbert Rd.  East Gilbert Rd will dead-end into the Marina.  Or, turn left at the light onto Curry Rd (the Tempe name for Washington Street in Phoenix).  Turn left (South) on College Ave and follow the signs to the Marina.

Parking facilities:

1. Tempe Town Lake - a limited number of spaces are available in the Top lot of the marina. We expect these to fill up very quickly and the turnaround at the site is limited, so after 7am please aim to use the other facilities. The 2 other areas of the marina are reserved for volunteers, dignitaries and entertainers to please do not attempt to use them. Volunteers are under instructions to not allow teams access to these areas.

2. Clear Channel Communications - there are approximately 80 spaces in the Clear Channel Communications lot on Gilbert Road which is only 2 minutes walk from the race site.

3. AZ Historical Society - we have secure the use of approximately 200 spaces at the Arizona Historical Society, which is across Curry Road. The walking distance from here is approximately 10 minutes, and we will expect to provide a shuttle bus.

4. Marquee Theatre/Tempe Ops Centre - there are another 70 spaces available at the Marquee Theater that provides a 10 minute walk along the side of the lake directly to the teams area.

5. Moeur Park - Moeur park provides a great view of the lake with approximately 30 spaces that join onto the Marquee Theater/Ops Center lot that again provide a 10 minute walk to the teams area along the lake site.
