We had a great turnout of teams and spectators and the racing was even
more spectacular than last year. We had a several teams traveling from
California
to challenge our local paddlers for the honors this year and, as very
special guests, we had a team from
Taipei,
Taiwan
travel to
Phoenix
just for our festival.
The 2005 ‘Beijing Bound’ award for the fastest
time of the weekend went to the San Francisco Bay Area Dragons, and the
Taipei Team took the 250m Sprint Challenge title.
